Principal's Message

Greetings and welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Kennemer Middle School/STEAM Academy!

It brings me immense joy to continue our journey together as the principal of this remarkable school. The warmth and enthusiasm that I experienced during my first two years with the KMS/STEAM Academy family have only grown, and I am truly honored to be a part of this incredible community. I am looking forward to building upon our successes and making this academic year a memorable one for your children.

As we embark on this new school year, I am excited to bring my 29 years of educational experience to the table. Having served in various roles, including teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal, I am committed to advancing our mission of engaging, equipping, and empowering all scholars to achieve their full potential.

Our theme for this year is "Back to the 90's". While we celebrate the creativity and innovation of this iconic era, we are also committed to achieving ambitious goals inspired by the number 90. We aim to ensure student attendance of 90% or better, grades at 90%, and testing scores at 90%. By harnessing the spirit of the 90's, we are confident that we can create a dynamic and successful academic environment for all our scholars. Our dedicated team is poised to embrace fresh challenges, discover innovative ways to engage students in the learning process, and prepare them for their future endeavors. Each day your children step into our school, they will be encouraged to embrace the possibilities of this year and aim for personal growth like never before.

I am eager to collaborate with each and every one of you to ensure that we provide the best possible support for our students. Together, we will cultivate a culture of growth, where every student can thrive and excel. I am excited about the opportunities and adventures this school year holds, and I am confident that, as a community, we will empower our students to reach new levels of success at Kennemer Middle School/STEAM Academy.
